This new Master’s degree programme on Energy, Environmental and Climate Change Law being offered by the University of Malta, in collaboration with Institute for Environmental and Energy Law (IEEL) of the University of Leuven, is unique in its approach – it aims to provide for a thorough study of energy law, environmental law and climate change law, from the point of view of international, European Union, and comparative law.
This corresponds to the ever-increasing legal, economic, and societal importance of energy, environmental and climate change regulation. Recognizing the expertise of the researchers of the University of Malta and IEEL, and the need for specialized education, the University of Malta approved to offer a Master in Energy, Environmental and Climate Change (LL.M.), starting in the academic year 2013-2014.
