Call for Proposals: Case Study – Spain’s Solar PV Subsidy and Investment Bubble
The International Institute for Sustainable Development’s (IISD) Global Subsidies Initiative (GSI) is pleased to announce a call for proposals to support the development of a study assessing the lessons which can be learnt from the Spanish solar PV subsidy bubble – when high levels of subsidies to solar PV spurred greater deployment than anticipated and led to subsequent government cuts in feed-in tariffs.
The IISD-GSI is dedicated to research and awareness building on government subsidies and their impacts on sustainable development. The aim of IISD-GSI’s work in this area is to improve existing renewable energy support policies, and to provide guidance to governments who have decided to introduce renewable energy subsidies.
The budget for the study is €10,500 and the deadline for proposals is the 23rd November 2012. Proposals received after the deadline will not be reviewed. For more information, download the full call for proposals above.
